  3. Virus Name  : UniDen v1.0 - Based on the WEED family.

  5. PayLoad.....: The unsuspecting user has a 1/10 chance of a payload going
  6.               off when an infected file is executed. One of two things
  7.               will happen if a payload is triggered: text will appear for
  8.               5 seconds, and the program will resume loading. Or, a moving
  9.               field of dots will appear. It resembles windows screen saver,
  10.               except moves from side to side. If the user presses \ when they
  11.               see the moving dots, program execution will resume.

  13. Virus Target: Win 95 and Dos *.exe and *.com files. Certain files are
  14.               not infected if they are judged to be important for UNIDEN's
  15.               enjoyment on the host.

  17. Target OS...: Win95 exe/com and DOS exe/com
  18.  
  19. Virus Info..: UNIDEN is based on the WEED virus family by the same author.
  20.               this virus is somewhat different from the weed family, so it
  21.               was given a new name and released seperatly. The UNIDEN virus
  22.               uses a technique called HOST stealth. Using this allows UNIDEN
  23.               to infect virtually any exe or com file, and the newly infected
  24.               file will not notice any changes to itself during operation.
  25.               VSAFE and VSCAN are dealt with if they happen to be active at the
  26.               time. They pose no threat to UNIDEN.

  28. Virus Size..: This virus was coded on purpose to be the same size as the
  29.               weed v1.2 v1.3 and v1.4a+b family viruses.
  30. Encryption..: The entire virus is encrypted. Using different routines
  31.               (encryption/decryption) for each routine withen the virus!
  32. Stealth.....: infected *.exe or *.com file will not notice infection while
  33.               in operation.

  37. This virus is based on WEED virus v1.4b source code by the same author. Various
  38. changes have been made and the virus has been given a new name. UNIDEN. Since
  39. our initial release of WEED over the net, we have gotten staggering infection
  40. reports. The problems people encountered when they became infected only allowed
  41. us to create better varients. UNiDEN is my newest creation at this time.
